Nitrile rubber (NBR): Possesses excellent oil resistance, abrasion resistance, and low-temperature performance, making it suitable for drain hoses in automotive fuel systems and lubrication systems.

Material Selection

  • Nitrile rubber (NBR) It features excellent oil resistance, wear resistance, and low-temperature resistance, making it suitable for drain lines in automotive fuel systems and lubrication systems.
  • Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) rubber It boasts excellent weather resistance, water resistance, and heat resistance, and is commonly used as a rubber drain hose in automotive cooling systems, maintaining stable performance under various environmental conditions.
  • Silicone rubber (VMQ) It exhibits excellent resistance to high temperatures, cold temperatures, and electrical insulation. In certain automotive components—such as rubber drain hoses in the engine compartment—where temperature requirements are relatively high or electrical insulation is necessary, silicone rubber may be used.

Customization process

  • Initial communication The customer needs to communicate in detail with the manufacturer and provide information such as the vehicle model, the specific installation location of the rubber drain pipe, and detailed performance requirements—for example, the operating temperature range, pressure resistance range, and chemical corrosion resistance requirements. Additionally, the customer may also provide drawings or samples.
  • Drawing review The manufacturer’s professional technicians review the drawings provided by the customer to assess the reasonableness of the design and the feasibility of production. If any issues are identified, they will promptly communicate with the customer to make necessary adjustments.
  • Sample production Based on the approved drawings, the manufacturer produces samples by using specific molds and manufacturing processes to transform the selected rubber material into rubber drainage pipe samples.
  • Sample testing Conduct comprehensive testing on the finished samples, including physical property tests (such as tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness, etc.), temperature resistance tests, pressure resistance tests, chemical resistance tests, and more, to ensure that the samples meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Mass production If the sample tests pass, the manufacturer will proceed with mass production according to the customer’s order quantity. Throughout the production process, quality will be strictly controlled, and multiple inspection procedures will be carried out.
  • After-sales service After product delivery, the manufacturer will also provide corresponding after-sales services, such as promptly answering and addressing any issues that arise during product use.

Production process

  • Mixing The selected rubber raw materials are mixed with various additives (such as vulcanizing agents, accelerators, fillers, etc.) in a certain proportion using a mixing machine to produce a rubber compound with uniform properties.
  • Molding The commonly used molding methods include extrusion and injection molding. Extrusion is suitable for producing long, strip-shaped rubber hoses; the compounded rubber is extruded through an extruder to achieve the desired pipe diameter and shape. Injection molding, on the other hand, is ideal for manufacturing rubber drainage pipe components with relatively complex shapes—here, the compounded rubber is injected into a mold cavity to be formed.
  • Vulcanization The semi-finished rubber drainage pipes, after being formed, are placed into a vulcanization apparatus and subjected to a vulcanization reaction under specific conditions of temperature, pressure, and time. This process causes cross-linking of the rubber molecules, forming a stable three-dimensional network structure that enhances the rubber's strength, hardness, elasticity, and other performance characteristics.

Quality control

  • Raw material inspection The rubber raw materials and additives procured are subjected to rigorous inspection to ensure that their quality meets the required standards, such as checking indicators like Mooney viscosity and vulcanization characteristics of the rubber.
  • Process inspection During the production process, products at each stage are inspected, including quality inspection of the compounded rubber, dimensional and visual inspection after molding, and physical property testing after vulcanization.
  • Finished product inspection The finished rubber drainage pipes undergo a comprehensive inspection, covering aspects such as dimensional accuracy, appearance quality, physical properties, and chemical properties. Only products that pass the inspection are allowed to leave the factory.
